James Dean clone

I haven't seen The Mod Squad in a while, but I did see Michael Cole on Gunsmoke, and he had that same wounded and angry persona that Dean mined. I don't mind it, but not a lot of actors go there. Cole was a good looking guy, and he did the brooding thing very well, like he wasn't happy with the world around him, and he had a slightly nasal delivery I wish he could have cleared up, but maybe it added to his character.
Heck, his buddy the character Linc (CTIII) was even more a cypher. I hardly ever remember him cracking a smile. He was one serious dude. Made me wonder if the guy was much of an actor or just put in there to look like a dangerous young Black fellow.
Julie was no firecracker either. Seems like Tige Andrews was the only actor who put some energy into his acting. Of course, the Squad had to do action scenes, but the dialog seemed hard for them to enjoy.
