You like paying $15 for gas? Cause I sure do.

ZOINKS! Made you look. I don't have to since I drive a Tesla and I make $14 million a year but I would love poor people who can't afford a EV or any new car other than their old gas guzzler to pay for it.

“Since the invasion, oil prices have skyrocketed,” Colbert said on his show.

“Today, the average gas price in America hit an all-time record high of over $4 per gallon. Okay, that stings, but a clear conscience is worth a buck or two,” said Colbert, whose contract with CBS pays him an annual salary of $15 million per year.

“I’m willing to pay. I’m willing to pay $4 a gallon. Hell, I’ll pay $15 a gallon because I drive a Tesla.”

The comedian then cracked a joke about the US refusing to buy Russian oil and instead turning to another source.

These late night hosts are comedians, only in the same way that Ted Bundy could be said to have had a way with women. There's no mistaking the former for Rodney Dangerfield, or the latter for Robert Evans

reply

What comedian? Aren't comedians supposed to be funny?

reply

Such a short sighted bozo.

Everything we get at the store can't be transported there in a Tesla. Farmers can't plow their fields, sow the rows, and harvest the crops with a Tesla.

Even if everyone could afford a Tesla, there's no way to supply that many batteries, with their toxic components and extensive mining operations, to meet the demand.

This guy is so stupid.

reply

What a jackass.

Gasoline prices started skyrocketing in January of 2021 when Brandon f'ed up the energy policies that had made the U.S. independent of foreign oil. If he had left them alone, the way he found them, the invasion of Ukraine would have had little or no effect on U.S. gasoline prices. We'd still be paying $3 or less. Colbert is an idiot. And while I'm here, FJB.

reply

I second the FJB...anyone who voted for him I hope they go bankrupt and homeless filling their cars up.

reply

Gas prices are up all over the world, but sure blame one person. Take a look at US oil production. It’s pretty much the same as it was 2 years ago and higher than Trump took office. Also, we were haven’t been independent from foreign oil since 1972, in fact we imported more while Trump was in office .

Deflecting to other world countries doesn’t address anything. We do not have to have a gas crisis, all Diaper Joe has to do is go back to the Trump policies and drill for the oil inside our own borders, we would not have to pay twice what we were paying before and we wouldn’t directly funding countries that hate our guts and are human rights abusers. But Diaper Joe doesn’t want to fall out of favor with the far left cult so we get to suffer instead. The son of a bitch needs to be impeached. Let me make this clear: The gas crisis is 100% Diaper Joe’s fault.

Facts are deflecting, sugar.

reply

You aren’t putting forth facts, little man. Just lies that your cult spoon fed you

reply

Says the guy with no data or proof to back anything up. Just childish name calling and regurgitated language and talking points… clear cut brainwashed cult member behavior.

reply

I presented you with the facts and you deflected away like a coward libtard snowflake. Go find a safe space, junior.

reply

Go back to washing in between your fat folds and masturbating to hentai like the troll loser you are.

reply

Keep your sick sexual fetishes to yourself and go back to your cry room you freak.

reply

He's charging the Tesla up off an outlet that's powered by coal or gas and when the next phase of the idiocy kicks in and we have rolling blackouts he won't be charging anything up.

reply

That's a good point so many people ignore. There are still electric plants run by coal or gas in the U.S. So electric cars aren't going to reduce pollution completely. Then again, as has been said, nobody except the rich are going to be able to afford electric cars anyway. I have my doubts used electric cars will ever be as cheap as used gasoline cars are.

reply

As a trucker, this is terrible for not only myself but everyone.

How much gasoline is wasted sitting in line for 4 hours turning the car off & on? Not to mention the starter...

I don't care if it was $100 no way in hell am I sitting in line 4 hours for that.

If they wanna fill my Peterbilt with diesel, then maybe I'll sit in line.
