Taika Waititi is pure genius.
While I enjoyed Parasite, Jojo was easily the better film.
I am so glad I caught this one in the theatre. The standing ovation it received at the end was just chilling.

The fact that you think these things, skin color or place of birth, are defining factors of a human being... that we need to amplify them, label, and judge people differently because of them, is something that I'm not a fan of.

Not to mention, the title of this topic mentions him being Maori, but I wasn't responding to that - I was responding to the fact that he won an Oscar for Jojo Rabbit of all films.
