Might've been the best POTUS ever.
We will never know because of that stupid and obsolete electoral college.
shareWe will never know because of that stupid and obsolete electoral college.
shareI Just Threw Up A Little In My Mouth 🤮 🤢
You swore up & down after Bush 2 took Gore's pants down you was gonna fix that obsolete electoral college thingy.
You look mighty silly now standing next to her, her ass in the air, her head buried in the earth where Trump stuck her.
Bush Jr stole that election. It is historical fact no one wants to talk about. He lost the popular vote and won the Florida electoral votes by a margin of ONLY 537 votes after they denied 10s of thousands of votes in the most democrat counties in Florida.
Only a damn fool would think he won that legit.
Catherine Harris was in charge of voting in Florida and was responsible for all the missing votes. She was appointed by Jeb Bush and instead of being disciplined for such an egregious act, she is now part of the United States House of Representatives from Florida.
Obvious corruption is obvious.
Hillary is a murderous piece of shit. Trump is a shady businessman with his foot perpetually in his mouth.
I still remember Peter King running across the cement to get that Supreme Court ruling.
Tougheth lucketh.
ROFLMAO!!!
How long you been a comedy writer?
shareThe Electoral College is MORE relevant and needed now more than ever. Among other reasons it forces candidates to campaign in and understand the needs of all regions of our country, not just the more densely populated and urban areas.

Bend over. I'll show you emasculated.
shareYou've got that backwards. The electoral college causes most of the country to be ignored, while candidates focus on a few key "swing" states.
shareNo you are incorrect, you would literally only have to go to a few large cities and you would have enough votes to win. Its how Hillary got the popular vote, but lost the college. She ignored or campaigned little in a few key states and she lost some of them to Trump. But that strategy would have worked if we went with just popular vote. Just look at the map by county, the country is red everywhere except a few mostly high pop areas, and that's where she got her votes. IF you remove the college..why would you go anywhere else besides those key high pop cities? and why would you care about anyone views from most of the country knowing only these areas truly matter? Its funny because the college really is a liberal thing, it allows for all the states to have some representation..something the left usually loves..and would love if Clinton had won the way Trump did, by getting the support of the majority of the states of the union instead of the large groups in major cities. The founding fathers tried to avoid many things..a couple are despot leaders and mob rule both can lead to stunning levels of abuse.

Nope, his example is spot on and easily proved because Trump won by paying attention to often overlooked areas. Hillary did exactly what you are suggesting and she lost. But don't let facts get in the way of your bitterness.
shareWhy don't you read my other post explaining the electoral college for the intellectually challenged. I'd copy and paste it for you, but you're not worth the effort. If you don't have the intelligence to comprehend why it's a necessity, you're beyond improvement. You seem to have a childish and simplistic understanding of it. Regardless of where campaigning takes place, everyone's vote counts the same. No one is ignored. No one State has any advantage as a result of size. This is the entire purpose of the EC.
shareI don't know if you meant to reply to me,but my post is clearly in favor of the EC.
shareAnd now I see that I was the one who replied to the wrong post. We are on the same page underdog.
share"Regardless of where campaigning takes place, everyone's vote counts the same"
INCORRECT, and you obviously have no clue how this works, despite your bullying mentality and your harsh words (aka, you're an idiot). The electoral college inflates the votes of rural voters, and it literally punishes people who live in densely populated areas.
For example, in 2008, on average a state is awarded one electoral vote for every 565,166 people. However, Wyoming has three electoral votes and only 532,668 citizens (as of 2008 estimates). As a result each of Wyoming's three electoral votes corresponds to 177,556 people. Understood in one way, these people have 3.18 times as much clout in the Electoral College as an average American, or 318% (as listed in the pdf chart, downloadable below).

Also...
The Electoral College is just one example of how an increasingly urban country has inherited the political structures of a rural past. Today, states containing just 17 percent of the American population, a historic low, can theoretically elect a Senate majority, Dr. Lee said. The bias also shapes the House of Representatives.
...
One in Five People Live in Rural America Today
When the framers of the Constitution were still debating the shape of institutions we have today, 95 percent of America was rural, as the 1790 census classified the population. The Connecticut Compromise at the time created the Senate: one chamber granting equal voice to every state to counterbalance the House, where more populous states spoke louder.
Yeah I'm sure the founding fathers established the Electoral College all so that over 200 years later Donald Trump could get elected. The electoral college is based on the number of senators and representatives that each state gets, every state gets 2 senators regardless of size and at least one congressman and 1+2=3. Can it with your cry baby excuses and just accept that fact that we won, you lost and that you don't matter anymore.
Personally I'm glad that this dried up old c-nt didn't win. I get a lot of pleasure knowing that this bitch has nothing left other than her complete joke of a marriage and her f-cked up family. I guess she just spends the rest of her life trying to find a way to live with herself (which cannot be easy by any stretch of the imagination).
Bernie Sanders should have been the nominee.
I take it this post is an acknowledgement of you still being butthurt about last night's exchange between us? I bet you combed through my posting history to find it, too.
The best part: You come crawling back for more, while I had basically forgotten about your idiotic yammering.
LOL! What an impression you make! Stick to your Batman worship, little baby troll.
Hahahahahaha why should I be butthurt? It was you who steered the conversation away from the topic because you were getting your ass kicked. You have a very strange definition of victory. You also have a very shitty memory because last night you were the one who hunted me down so me "crawling back for more" doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. The Republicans ass raped the Democrats in 2016, I have nothing to be "butthurt" about, lol.
And of course I responded when I saw your post, I get a kick out of humiliating you and driving you crazy.
By the way yes Bernie should have been the nominee, crooked Hillary stole the primary and attempted to steal the election from Trump with her smear campaign, sending death threats to electors and fabricated Russia stories.
Wow. How could someone so uneducated type so many words? Your misunderstanding of the electoral college is astounding. How does someone so clueless earn the right to exist?
As for only Republicans being a fan of it, you missed the mark there too. Maybe you shouldn't make assumptions about random people on the internet. It's makes a fool, look like a bigger fool....
And who exactly did I call an idiot? You just can't seem to get anything right, can you, moron? As a matter of fact. The only one who called anyone an idiot in this thread was you. Talk about batting zero. Keep swinging. Maybe you'll get something right sooner or later.
I am sure that in your mind that the EC was a smart measuring tool of the American public in 1992, 1996, 2008, and 2012. Further, I will probably regret asking this but why would she have been the best POTUS ever? So she can maintain the status quo in DC?
shareI am a touch puzzled by this as well, while i have no idea if she would have been better or worse then Trump. There is literally nothing before the election and since she has lost that would indicate anything that would support OP's statement. She did little as a senator, she was not a great SOS and she has lacked grace and class since losing to the point that people that worked on her campaign are saying she should stop.
She was a privileged candidate that seemed to think the Presidency was hers and she shouldn't have had to bother with primaries and general elections. She was probably the worst candidate for that alone.

I Thought Colin Powell would have been a good president.

When did he ruin any chance? The WMDs speech? I don't blame him for that. They used his good name to pass lies to the world. He had no idea he was lying at the time(at least that's my take).
shareHe didn't play the game of politics. As a result, he fell out of favor. After that, they had no problem cutting him loose.
shareIt amazes me how many people don't understand the electoral college. Don't they teach it in school anymore? Obsolete? Not even a little bit. It's more relevant now than ever.
If we were simply one nation, without being broken up into individual States, then the poular vote as a whole is fine. We're not that though. We're separate States, and each State regardless of size needs to have an equal say. That's where the electoral college comes in.
Of course there could be exceptions, but by design, whoever wins the popular vote in the State, gets the electoral votes. To over simplify, 50 States are voting for the President, not 350 million separate people. And this is the way it should be. My disgust with the current administration not withstanding....
Very well said!
shareNothing she’s done as a wife, a human being, Secretary of State, senator, candidate for President, failed candidate, would lead anyone to believe she would be a good president.
She was a lazy candidate who felt entitled and thought she had a lock. She blew it. She’s also corrupt. And that was part of why she lost.
She’s been a disgrace in loss. And throwing her loser ass out saved the country from further leftwing corruption of our country.
The constitution and electoral college is more relevant, and needed now more than ever. Those running Washington DC, the establishment, the corrupt media, congress and senate are who are obsolete.
That's it & that's all.
