Ricardo on 'The View'

Okay, I just saw Ricardo co-hosting The View (from last week, I think), and I have a couple of questions/comments.

First, Meredith Vieira keeps pronouncing his name like ChaVEHRa whereas I always thought it was ChaVEERa. After all, it's spelled with an I, not an E. Does anyone know for sure?

Also, did anyone else notice when they were talking about going to weddings, and Meredith was like, "well you're a single guy..."? So of course my ears perked up when I heard her say "single." Maybe she only means it in the official, non-married sense. But the way she said it made it seem like he's actually unattached.

Anyway, enough of my Ricardo groupie comments for now. =)

I think his last name's pronounced "ChaVEERa". I heard him pronounce it on a interview (its up on DesperateFans.org).

I heard the talk on the marriage thing, too, and I can't decide whether or not she ment offically that he's with someone in a non-marriage way, or actually unattached.
