If this kid had any respect for Richard Kelly and what Donnie Darko meant to so many, she wouldn't be participating in the sequel. Richard Kelly has clearly separated himself from this project. What's wrong with this girl?!

It doesn't take a genius to see that S. Darko is going to ruin the original.
Like the Butterfly Effect 2. Although Donnie Darko is 10 times better than The Butterfly Effect.
Donnie Darko is epic.
If the same character is appearing again, it might as well be the same actor, for me half of what ruins a sequel is the use of new actors for the main characters. and although this film obviously wont match up to the first one, it might still be a decent film in its own right.
