It's just seems a bit fishy that you're coming onto these boards making all of statements for Daveigh.

I suppose it does! I know her mom. We don't hang out really, but we speak quite often. She doesn't talk too much about Daveigh's private life, but I think she was really surprised, maybe sad? that Daveigh said this. I was surprised too and thought it was too bad. But, point taken! I probably shouldn't post anything about it. Or really anything at all, I have no authority on any of it, but I have enjoyed knowing Cat and Daveigh thru the years, and I always wanted Daveigh to make it. I believe she has the talent to go the distance! I was curious what others thought. And no, I am not a publicist!! That's funny though!

It seems to me that you have a bit of an obsession with Daveigh, all of your posts are only on forums about or regarding her. You probably are her mom, just trying to stir up talk about her.

True in her ealier posts she said "I read somewhere that Daveigh" yada, yada, yada. Haha, I hope it is Daveigh herself, which would be kind of sad, but nonetheless would make me like her more.

Well I've never heard of her before. I started watching Big Love a few days ago, into the 5th season already & until a couple of minutes ago I didn't know the name of the actress. However when I saw her character singing in a strip club I just thought this is too ridiculous, a girl with a world class voice would try to make a living with her voice through any of the usual routes before resorting to singing in a dive strip joint. So just to confirm my opinion about how great her voice is I looked up the actress expecting to find that she was exactly the opposite of what she apparently hates, a pop star moving into acting. (as opposed to an actor trying to sing)

I hate her character as a person as I'm supposed to, but even as a hateful person when you hear her sing it's just incredible, moving, haunting, beautiful, soulful. I'm really, really disappointed that I didn't find a bunch of albums she had done & that she won't perform & record in the future. This is truly a loss to music lovers in my opinion.

I've personally known or met a surprising number of people with professional talent or ability, including big star talent, that had absolutely no interest in making a career out of it & dind't want to be famous. This goes back to way before the explosion of tabloid style celebrity coverage & mainstream culture & news even being taken over by that crap, let alone the web & social media. Girls with can't miss prospects as models or actresses, a guy who could have had his pick as an NFL star or heavyweight champ but didn't want to go to college (even though he's very smart) & has driven a delivery truck most of his life.

But usually, especially with girls or women & modeling or acting the issue was that they didn't want to capitalize or get by on thier looks vs doing something with their education or other abilities as a person that they fell is ufeful or important, so they reject the whole concept & don't want a public life like that.

But this is comepletly different, a person who already is in a public/entertainment/arts career & doesn't have any of those kinds of objections denying themselves & a world of would be enjoyers of her talent because of her dislike of previous pretenders & fear of being illegitimate or taken that way. But that's crazy because, even though I don't have any real criticism of her acting from the one role I've seen her in, I wasn't like omg who's this amazing actress let me look her up, but I was like omg who is this amzing singer with the looks to capitalize on it?

Maybe watching her other acting or the future will change my mind, but for now it seems like she's leaving her best career behind. Am I alone?

Anyway regardless of who the orignal poster is or what they were trying to do, I agree with the assessment of her singing talent.
