Less Dave is never a good thing.

But good for Netflix for standing by his right to be paid what he’s worth.

“People think I made a lot of money from ‘Chappelle’s Show,'” Chappelle says in a video titled “Unforgiven” that was posted to his Instagram on Tuesday. “When I left that show I never got paid. They (ViacomCBS) didn’t have to pay me because I signed the contract. But is that right? I found out that these people were streaming my work and they never had to ask me or they never have to tell me. Perfectly legal ’cause I signed the contract. But is that right? I didn’t think so either.”

Who signs a contract to not be paid?

reply

I think he is referring to the fact he didn't get residuals due to breaking his contract when he left during Season 3.

Oh ok that makes sense. I am sure he has plenty of money by now.

Is it right? Maybe he should have thought of that when he sold his product by signing a contract. What an indian giver.
