is it the obvious "chalk" or perhaps "chalky"? What nationality is this name?

I think it would only be Chalky is it had an i before the e

Wait wait. Do you make the "L" sound?
Is it like "Chaw-k"?
or "Chal-k"?

If it's German, then you would speak the e at the end.

Yeah, but it's probably an Americanized pronunciation by now. Or Canadianized, I suppose.

I`m pretty sure it`s not German,
I am German and have no idea how to pronounce that name in a German(and not stupid) way.. And never heard of any Germans with the last name Chalke.
