Do you think he'd have been competing with Jim Carrey in the way I assume Sandler probably would have hoped. Would he have sunk Sandler and Stiller's early careers, maybe even get a few of their roles?

Maybe. There certainly would be competition but Carell's kind of comedy is different than theirs by quite a bit.

Maybe he could have pushed others down a peg and it'd leave no room for guys like David Arquette and Pauly Shore.

Maybe they could have cast him in Chairman of the board.
