Thinking about this over the last weeks ...
and having read some stories about Louie CK and the women
who made these accusations, and putting it all together with
other similar stories what I am left with to consider is why
America used to be such a good place, and is becoming less
so almost by the day.
That is that when we have a class system, a very steeps
class hierarchy it cues the population of the whole country to
only care about money. It is great for retail businesses like
clothes, cars or real estate to have everyone trying to keep up
with the Jones, but it is not great for the society of such a
country.
When I a kid, most of this showing off, conspicuous consumption,
and keeping up with the Jones was minimizes, and over my lifespan
I have seen this being pulled out of the American people, just at
the time when they were accepting that the history of Africans
and Native American people caused a lot of damage to everyone,
the Powell Memorandum struck and was distributed out to all the
wealthy dynastic families saying that this tendency towards
democracy must be reversed at any cost.
What happened is that Americans get a psychological complex and
do not know where they stand. racism is on the rise, sexism, anti-
globalism, and xenophobia as well.
So, the people in America that are lucky enough to make it, and
most will acknowledge that this is mostly to do with luck and timing,
they start acting superior. They think other people are less than
them, and they can treat people with insensitivity.
This is the nature of the human being, just as corruption is, and just
as our Founders did their best to guard against and put in check.
But with a rich oligarchy in place and the means to control the
population by electronic surveillance we have and out of control
upper class, and the people under then who want to be them behave
like think the rich and powerful behave.
So, Louie had a lot of good stuff happen to him and he just went
wild. I do think that is different from pedophile Roy Moore though.
