ewwww!

Why did he have to turn out to be a creep?!

reply

He's divorced. It happens to all of us.

reply

You mean any man can just start masturbating in front of women he hardly knows?

reply

No.

reply

Depends on the circumstance. You've never had a one night stand?

reply

I did say that he could do it all he wants in front of someone he is sexually involved with. How does your example here apply?

Once again, if someone did it in front of his co-workers in an office setting, what would you think of that person?

reply

LOL, Louis says he always asked for permission first.
So funny. He really hurt himself and a lot of others with
this. A ton of stuff is cancelled or on the edge now.

In his confession, I think he did a good job. He covered
all the bases in the right way and said what needed to be
said ... the problem is that Louie is so loose with the truth
and good with words - who can believe him?

I'd wager this is not the last we hear of Louis CK, but I do
think this was all in order and a lot more of this kind of thing
needs to happen before people start placing politeness and
humanity ahead of star power and bribery and corruption.

We have a lot to learn from this mess, and it will be interesting
to see how it happens, how long it takes, and what will be the
backlask to support the corrupt status quo?

reply

Well, asking permission really isn't the issue here. It's more the fact that he is so far gone in this fetish that he has no sense of what one can even say or do in a social setting.

I'll tell you a little story from my own life: when I was 15, I and another girl from my class were walking around our school, and some man who I guess was around 40 approached us and asked if he could go down on us. Also harmless, right? After all, he asked permission!

But god, it was creepy AF.

reply

I am not saying asking permission makes it OK. You got that, right?

As to your story, it is not really an analogous situation, and yes, it
was creepy.

Just curious though, what do you think the man who approached
you was guilty of, and what should have been his punishment?

reply

Have you ever watched Black Mirror? There was a Christmas special episode where the punishment was being blocked by society. That's what I think someone like that deserves.

As for what he is guilty of - well, he *was* a grown-ass man approaching girls below the age of consent, but aside from that, in my mind he was guilty of being so socially maladjusted. Even with someone of your own age you don't just come up to someone on the street and say that, right? I mean, that goes without saying, but somehow it's not clear to a person like that.

Or maybe he was specifically a predator, but I don't know, I never thought of the situation that way (I can't really say I thought much about it, period).

When we were running away from him, he yelled "But it's only tongue!"

reply

> As for what he is guilty of - well, he was a grown man approaching girls below the age of consent

That is a problem, but what is the name of the crime? Solicitation of a minor maybe?

We had a thing a few years back where a high-school teacher and girl turned out to be having an affair. The affair began before the girl was of age, though the claim was by both of them that nothing happened before she was 18.

Some in the online local paper said it was there business, but the parent were really upset at their daughter, and wanted this guy prosecuted. Some called what he was doing "grooming" and I can see that, but at this same school where I graduated decades ago, a teacher and student were having an affair and it was completely ignored.

Then there is drawing the line. Why is there and age limit of 18. Does someone automatically become an adult one day when the day before they are somehow different?

I think what you mentioned is a problem, or rather you have to assume that person is a potential problem. Do you think you missed doing your civic duty by not turning him in to the police or reporting it? Did you ever see the person again?

reply

Civic duty? Lol, no, this was in another (more backward) country, and besides, not sure how I would have even gone about reporting him to anyone - this was before cell phones.
No, I don't think I ever saw him again, although not sure I would have recognized him in any case.

reply

lol, preach!

we've gotta laugh, right? "he asked permission", "he didn't ACTUALLY rape them", "but, he apologized."

wtf planet are people on that this is ok behavior?! This actually clears a lot up about the way regular dudes act towards women for me now.

reply

his whole show was a bit creepy to be honest

reply

Men are men. When they get horny, they act irrational. Some just can't help it :/

I dunno why masturbating in front of someone is somehow a big sin. I mean sure, fine him for indecent exposure and move on. If you didn't like touch them or anything it shouldn't be such a big story imo.

reply

He can do it all he wants in front of a woman he is actually romantically (or at least sexually) involved with. Not in front of random people!

You are saying this as though inviting guests over to your place is a perfectly fine context to drop one's trousers and start jerking off.

reply

Pretty sure he did it to someone he knew be it a co-worker or whatnot, that wasn't random. At least he doesn't look like the kind of guy that would do that.

No, that would be a step further than what I was referring to and would be considered a flasher.

reply

Well, if anything, doing it in front of a co-worker only makes it worse. What if a co-worker started masturbating in front of others in an office setting, what would you think then? But all these people being in show business somehow suddenly makes it all acceptable??

All your defense of his actions really tells me is that you are also a creepy perv.

reply

Yeah, I am a perv, and proud of it. Nothing wrong with that. Who isn't? At least I can control myself unlike some.

reply

There is something very wrong with it when you start advocating public behavior like that.

No, unless he finds himself willing participants, this is not okay.

reply

>> I dunno why masturbating in front of someone is somehow a big sin.

I think that is a good question. Not that I do not know the reason or think
I understand, but you're right it is not like a violent act, or forcing someone
to do something, but on the other hand it is dehumanizing, insulting, and
in cases where there is a business relationship, or possible business relationship
it is using someone in a way they have no choice about.

It would be interesting to have a psychologist or psychiatrist, or even law
enforcement talk about this or make a documentary that explains the
dynamics of this clearly, because a lot of people just want to ignore it or
dismiss it, or even blame the victims, and we should all know why clearly
and understand.

reply

He ask for permission. So i really don't care. If some woman asks me if i want watch her masturbate and i find it uncomfortable. That my problem, not hers. I can always just leave. I don't need to accuse here of doing something wrong.

reply

Well, asking permission really isn't the issue here. It's more the fact that he is so far gone in this fetish that he has no sense of what one can even say or do in a social setting.

reply

Since you were both minors at a school that was highly creepy and should have been reported.

But yeah it is certainly harmless compared to what he could have tried to do.

We ran away. Well, walked away swiftly, rather.
