BIG fan of Greggs...
... apparently.

He should invest heavily in the company and take the steak bake to Hollywood...

Surely won't affect Gerard's consumption rate but maybe he'll now think twice before splashing out to buy some for his good buddy Ryan Reynolds...
It's a silly thing but there's a difference between paying a single one pound coin and fiddling around for the extra five pence piece. It will probably curb me of the habit of a quickie vegan roll when I'm wandering around town - which will do no harm.
shareStill using cash?
I used to have this problem years ago taking the bus to work. I remember the fare went over a £1 and it was a nightmare because you landed up with a ton (literally almost!) of coins come the end of the week!
I'm surprised at how much I use a card for even tiny transactions. But I have an irrational belief that if I pay for something with small change it didn't actually cost me anything - I just got rid of some inconvenient coins.

Now £1.15 for a humble sausage roll. The cost of living crisis just got real...
However I believe that Gerard will have the finances to ride this increase out.
Perhaps he could do some product placement in Greenland 2. Maybe the survivers come across a freezer chest filled to the brim with Greggs produce.
You need to find a Greggs outlet shop. Two for one deals on yesterday's unsold pies.
shareSpotted in the crowd in Edinburgh yesterday watching Scotland (or perhaps just van der Merwe) beat England. I regretfully observed no evidence of a Greggs sausage roll - neither in hand or the inevitable trail of flaky crumbs.
