Her voice on OTH

I only know Sophia from One Tree Hill and I love her character Brooke and the way she portrays her. But her voice irritates the hell out of me. Why does she have to talk in such a husky voice all the time? Does she talk like that in real life as well or is it a case of bad acting?

I find that hard to believe since she's not talking in that way all the time. I'm convinced it's a way of acting, but an irritating one.

that's actually what turned me off, the voice, and other things...like always playing music, I could barely hear anything...

why on earth they need to play music through the entire episode, I don't know.....I get it's for effect...but when two people are regularly talking, do we need so much of it...

and if we do, it shouldn't have a life of it's own, it should be quiet, and in the back ground.

my hearing's just fine....but...come on, this and a lot of shows, has really gotten out of hand, on the music playing......all the time

I agree on the music, but I like it on shows as OTH, Smallville, Everwood... It really did add something and thank god for subtitles. But I totally agree with you Susan.

bit (lot) late on answering this, but i seem to remember it being said that she has a medical 'thing' something like recurring laryngitis or something. keeps coming back every now and then, thats why she sometimes sounds like her voice is going.

i dont mind it, i was a thirty something year old man (now 40) that never missed one tree hill, primarily for sophia lol.
