The new 'View' is a HOT MESS

Most glaring and devastating is the loss of Nicolle Wallace, the best thing on 'the View' in a decade. I can almost hear these dumb, 30-year-old ABC producers strategizing, "hey, let's dump the intellectually-measured, politically savvy, 40-something Wallace and boost our ratings momentarily with another 80s child-star (and loose-cannon Hasselbeck-clone) Cameron-Bure!" Well, today the problems with this genius re-casting became painfully clear.

Cameron-Bure was purposely left out of the first two segments because the topic was controversial, right-wing martyr, Kim Davis -- a topic sure to provoke the evangelical Cameron-Bure into a shouting match with her liberal co-hosts, Goldberg, Symone and Behar. But this confrontation was completely avoided, which looked so calculated and phony. Wallace, on the other hand would have brought a cool-headed, reasonable, conservative point of view to this discussion, but oh yeah...she was fired!

When Cameron-Bure did join the panel in the third segment, a racy discussion of adult TV shows and movies, Candace was noticeably SILENT. And there's the problem with Cameron-Bure: she's hopelessly uninformed on mainstream pop culture because of her prudish, extremist religious beliefs, she doesn't WATCH the TV shows and movies everyone else does. Again, this is where the loss of Nicolle Wallace is so obvious to viewers: Wallace always had an opinion on pop culture and celebrities because she was an ADULT woman living in the real world. Unlike the sheltered, submissive, shrill church-girl, Cameron-Bure!
