Pronouncing her name
In the commentary for Predators, Robert Rodriguez and Nimrod Antal both pronounce her name as "Uh-Lee-See"
I just thought it was Alice ya know?
Anyone else know this? lol

shareIt's Alice. And only a "Nimrod" would say otherwise.
"This is Kolyma - a graveyard for the lost."
Well I just started learning Spanish, to me that looks like the Spanish pronunciation of Alice.
shareHere it is pronounced "Ah-liss" I guess at the end of the day it would be boring for us all to say and do things the same way.
It's like saying tomato.
Toe-may-toe.
Toe-ma-toe.
Or as we say it here in Scotland "Tamata" lol.
At the end of the day it's the same thing we're on about really. So what the hell.
"This is Kolyma - a graveyard for the lost."
I guess so. It would be interesting to know which pronunciation she herself prefers.
shareThat Nimrod guy has it right, except that in the first syllable, the "A" sounds halfway between the "u" in "but" and the "a" in "father". Kind of like "but" in the poshiest versions of British Received Pronunciation.
shareAlmost. Here in Brazil we pronouce it as "Ah-lee-see". Not "Uh-lee-see".
shareDammit! Every time I read the word "Nimrod," I fart!
"There is no escape, John!"
