Happy birrthday to Kate and question concerning her eyes.

I am not presuming anything. I'm not an MD or a DO or any health care practitioner. I do know there are some genetic syndromes that can cause different colored eyes. ie Heterochromatica iradae (each eye a different color. and sectoral heterochromatica. I know that Waardenburg syndrome is the most common example of such syndromes. Does anyone know why her eyes are different hues? I realize it could be merely an individual trait and not related to a syndrome.

Her eyes are two different colors: Brown and Blue. This condition is known as Heterochromia Iridum.

Don't think it's a particular syndrome, just genetic. I have a cousin with the same thing.

I knew for years heterochromia iridium means different colored eyes. Causes can be eye injury, tumor, uveitis etc. No offense I know heterochromatic eyes can be caused by a genetic disorder A board certified medical geneticist diagnosed with one. Do you care to know what one. I wish you and your cousin well.
