shareThose wide-brimmed, black gunslinger hats were very popular for singers from the British Isles in the mid-late 1980s. It wasn't just Bono. Most of the other hat wearers were Goth Rockers, though.

I never listened to any of these bands.
Perhaps I should give one of them a listen. Never even heard of the first lot!
Fields of the Nephilim are my favorite of the three. Elizium is their best album, IMO. They looked like they stepped out of "Once Upon a Time in the West", but their music is more like "Call of Cthulhu".
