I'm afraid to very reluctantly admit but I think we're far away from seeing an openly gay married family man with a husband & kids playing a popular superhero.

Well, it came up in NEWS when i googled Matt Bomer. The site was rife with pop up ads, but i liked what the writer said and the reference to two of Bomer's good friends made it seem legit. I was looking for something that might explain a trip to Peru and/or the reason Paul Newman in Venice is on his twitter account. Inquiring minds wanna know...

I think Matt has a good chance--if he really wants the role.

Hey moon... there may be a particular reason Paul is on his twitter page but it could just be because the man helped with liberal causes like Matt and gave a lot of time and money to help others - maybe Matt wanted to highlight him during this election time. The fact that he was a fantastic actor probably also comes into play. JMO.

It's surely a possibility it is random in the way you suggest--The pic of Fitzgerald makes sense in the big scheme of things. I love a mystery. Think I will continue to view it as a puzzling clue that has larger meaning. It is not my life's mission or anything, just ponder the ??? on occasion. Newman is a bit of a blue-eyed twin...

No offense...but I think Matt's a bit too old to be taking on a superhero role, especially when those roles tend to churnnout multiple movies if the first is successful.

He's turning 40 next year...

Matt and his friend Victor Quinaz are in Peru. Is Victor Peruvian? Or is Matt going to some sporting events? He went to a boxing match with one of his friends last year. Seems he keeps in touch with all classmates who were his friends.
Machu Pichu would be a great place to visit.
Seems we heard about this near the end of the trip? 6 days later.

Did they meet in NYC when Matt was doing off Broadway work? I don't think he was in the Observatory group from Carnegie Mellon.

I agree with everything you said Art , i think some of comic book fans are not ready for a openly gay married man to play one of the characters and it is one of the reasons Matt could not get a superhero role he can be a great superman ,batman , nightwing , green lantern ,Namor or even villain role such as maximus , i remember a few years a go writers of green lantern wanted to make green lantern character gay and some fans lose their *beep* and said oh no he can not be gay ,unfortunately in world we have lots of homophobes who are not ready to see a openly gay man as lead actor and it is the reason half of cele are in closet
