shareSo you're saying he should change his accent(Which is a part of someone's personality)just so he could fit in?? You idiot....
shareHa ha I just re-watched Legion and Sling Blade last night with my boyfriend who hadn't seen either film, and I thought about how thick his Bama accent is. It makes him more interesting, but as an actor he should be able to speak without it for a role. I guess he doesn't care, as he really isn't that busy as an actor.
"Somebody blew their nose and you wanna keep it?"
He does not do acting to be rich, he does it because he enjoys it. He like me both have our thick accent from living there. He has no interest in changing his accent drastically for a role and I don't blame him, that is his choice. We are all proud of him and his accomplishments and as long as he has what he needs to supply for his family that's all he wants.
shareGo tell that to three time academy award winners Daniel Day Lewis or Meryl Streep!!
Its that man again!!
I love his accent, and rather appreciate that he doesn't change it. It adds more character to a film. Not everybody here in Massachusetts has a Boston accent, there's a variety of accents. I realize filmmakers don't like southern accents but people need to accept there's a lot of southerner a out there and they don't just live in Alabama
shareDoes this mean Hamlet, Macbeth, Richard III, A view from the bridge, Death of a salesman, The Crucible, Uncle Vanya, Speed the plow, Glengarry Glen Ross etc, all great plays will be out of his reach in order to preserve his personality???????????
Its that man again!!
No director would hire him for any production of that sort if he wasnt willing to change his accent, so it's really up to him
