You're 4.2% of the world's population. There would be some short-term global economic shocks if the USA failed to survive as a country. But the global order would rearrange itself quickly and humanity would be fine.

Indeed, most Americans would be fine. The USA would go down in history as an ultimately failed experiment. And it would probably split into five or six successor states, which could have more modern, robust constitutions that learned the lessons of the old nation-state. Some of them would probably be stable parliamentary democracies.

None of the successor states would be as wealthy as the whole. Obviously. But you'd basically be fine.

None of this is going to happen anytime soon. I don't know why you people are so apocalyptic.
