Things are going to get really weird for the Democrats around their convention.

I think Biden won't agree to step down. He will be angry and defiant at the very idea of stepping down. So just before the convention, the poor old guy will "pass peacefully in his sleep."

At the convention, I predict the Democrat moderates are going to try to put in California's Grabbin' Gruesome, but the Far Left weirdo faction (who must represent over 50% of Democrats now,) are going to demand a more radical nominee. They'll put up Old Bernie again, or one of those annoying "Squad" women.

This is going to lead to violent riots at the convention, with a very negative look in the media for the Dems, and a deep intra-party divide for them to deal with.

How dumb ... a typical Trumpish fantasy. The Squad is on the way out, or don't you pay attention to the news and just make it up or accept Trump's stories.

Bernie too close to the Squad now and has lost his support, besides he's too old.

You listen to Trump talking about how Biden and the Democrats are Marxists or communists ... when the Dems are moving towards the center and coalescing around the moderate policies.

And, by the way the weirdos in this country as the ones who want to rip up the Constitution and have violent revolution based on lies and Trump ... in other words, you and your gang of trolls here.

The Democrats aren't the most smartest of the bunch and by putting Newsom in there, you absolutely guarantee Trump wins even moreso then he will now and he will win in November too and please, spare me all of this crap with "Our Democracy Will Be Ruined" bullshit because it's not going to be ruined anymore than it is right now under Joe Biden wanting the sympathy vote at this point too..

In other parallels to 1968, we have a Planet of the Apes film, an epic Western, and a Biker movie showing in the theaters, and one of the presidential candidates is named RFK. 2024 is the "gritty reboot" of 1968!

Not to mention a couple of attempted assassinations(crazys can't pull that stuff off like they used to, I blame TV), a president who decided in the end not to run, and a vice-president who couldn't figure out who's record to run on or against.

Yes! The assassinations and Biden's dropping out came after I posted my comment. It's crazy how many parallels there were to '68!

I think Hillarying Biden is extreme and unlikely.

I think at the point of his mental decline, he might be happy to follow orders and step aside. It shouldn't take much to convince him. Hell, they could tell him he's finishing his second term now and he might believe it.

It's weird looking back this thread for sure. Biden blew it at that debate performance but I think he was probably pretty defiant about stepping down behind the scenes. His speech at the DNC reflected that where he did nothing but yell at the audience for 40-45 minutes. I'm guessing he won't be around much longer after he leaves office as his Dementia will get progressively worse.

It's just about two more weeks until Trump is President again. The certification of the election is on Monday and it's "Jan 6th". I wonder if liberals will try anything?
