Biden has announced he is banning travel from South Africa.

He's the gift that keeps on giving.
It's the new COVID strain that is causing the travel ban, and has nothing to do with making it harder for black and brown people to immigrate to the U.S. The ban is also being put in place by Canada, the EU and Japan.
In short, it's not political like Trump's travel bans.
As someone that despises Trump, he was actually right early on to ban travel from China when the pandemic started. He got a lot of pushback from that even though that's become the acceptable response. This is in that same line of thinking so hopefully it will help prevent it's spread.

Trump’s travel bans weren’t political either, they were done for the safety of Americans.
