This is because most Liberals suffer from conditions, neuroses and personality problems that cause them to be unable to fit into mainstream society for the most part. Almost all Liberals were misfit outcasts and awkward rejects in their childhood and teens. When they read about a criminal committing a crime against a normal person in society, they applaud and take it as vicarious revenge.
There is a HUGE difference between the type of outsider that becomes a career criminal and the type that becomes a Liberal, though. Many Liberal women find out how big the difference is when they fall for a crook or become a serial killer groupie. Many Liberal men find out about it when they get hustled by a smooth-talking ex-con looking for a well-to-do homosexual to live off of and to steal money from.
