No, Palpatine is Hitler. The Evil Empire is Nazi Germany. Stormtroopers were specialist soldiers in the German army. Imperial uniforms are based on Nazi uniforms. Originally, stormtroopers and all the officers were white human males to reflect the bigotry within Nazi Germany. It was made clear that nonhumans, women and nonwhites were considered inferior, therefore not welcome in the ranks of the Imperial army nor government leadership.

You're wrong. Democrats and Republicans both represent "liberal democracy" aka: democracy. That means elections, freedom of the press, speech, expression, etc., nonpartisan goverment institutions, separation of powers and rule of law.

"Illiberal democracy" is the new dictatorship and is represented by countries like Russia, Venezuela, and Turkey where they only pretend to be democracies. There are no honest elections, no freedom of the press, political opponents are falsely accused and arrested, populist leader who profits, no checks and balances on his power, government institutions are headed by his lackeys, all judges answer to him, etc.

Trumpism is not democracy, nor is it conservatism nor republican. It's illiberal democracy. Notice how Trump attacked the free press, demanded loyalty from institution heads, packed the courts, attacked demonstrators with the secret police, falsely accuses and wants to arrest his political opponents, pay to play profits, etc.

Trump is a demogogue who refuses to leave even though the majority have voted him out. He wants a mob and his appointed judges to keep him in power which is not democracy - it's a coup and leads to a dictatorship. There needs to be a peaceful transfer of power in a democracy.

There are different types of democrats: liberal, moderate, progressive, apolitical, etc.

The right-wing media has promoted the stereotype that all democrats are progressive when in reality they are a small, but vocal group of about 10% of the democratic party.

Another stereotype is that all democrats hate guns, pro-abortion and are not religious. Reality is a large number are moderate, live in swing states and love to hunt, against abortion and very religious.

There's a danger in assuming everyone is the same. There are different types of Republicans, conservatives, and Trump supporters too. Notice how I differentiate the three groups which are not neccesarily all the same thing.

Antifa, BLM, and their brainless followers have been rioting, looting, burning, vandalizing, and assaulting all over the U.S. for several months while leftist mayors and governors do nothing and leftists like yourself applaud. Maybe someday you and your ignorant ilk will miraculously gain the intelligence necessary to understand this, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Trump IS the status quo and establishment. He helped rich people especially himself.
