Nothing weird about that at all.

I'm not usually attracted to women so I'm not attracted to her either, but I do think she's beautiful. Only on TBBT they deliberately make her character look unattractive and I think that's why many people now perceive the actress in the same way.

Oh, no. She's no beauty queen, but she is attractive compared to stereotypical Jewish women her age. Like Craig Ferguson said of Ugly Betty, Mayim is a pretty woman with glasses on when she becomes Amy Farrah Fowler.

It's strange, because I find her quite beautiful (even when she's on the television show). Even more so than Kaley Cuoco or the Bernadette chick. I've found myself to be in a very small minority over it, lol.

In the episode "The Weekend Vortex", Sheldon said, "I always thought that if I were to be enslaved, it would be by aliens, not some hotsie-totsie from Glendale." In other words, Sheldon considers Amy attractive in some manner.
