He's phenomenal--natural, immersive acting; very physical; and has a great ear for accents.
I'm probably biased because I've seen everything he's ever done on film and television so far, but that's because I think he's incredibly talented. He's a natural in Billy Elliot (his "golden ticket" role, as he's called it) but his turn as Smike in Nicholas Nickleby is what really got me hooked on his performances. As someone else said--he is quite a chameleon actor who can morph into any role. I look forward to season two of Turn: Washington's Spies, which premieres in a few days. He's been promoting it this past week (I was fortunate enough to be at an event in NYC) and he seems like a down-to-earth man who really enjoys acting for what it is--a chance to try something new every time.
