I think she was being worked to the point of exhaustion when she was under her mother's thumb. She's a sweet lady who deserves better.

I do feel sorry for her. So often these child stars are pushed so hard by their "momagers". Their mothers try so hard to live vicariously through their children and end up either ruining the child's career, ripping them off, make bad career decisions for them, and/or ultimately cause them severe emotional/psychological stress. I really hope Miss Barton can make a comeback. I've enjoyed watching her grow up through film since The Sixth
Sense. The tabloids have been terribly cruel to her the past few years. Hopefully she lands back on her feet soon! The very best of luck to her!

I was wondering what happened to her career. Hopefully she can get it together. She's still young.

Tell me about it. I haven't heard of anything she's done since The O.C. was cancelled in 2007. Looks like she did have works, just they weren't advertised often or were solid note worthy films or shows. To me, I thought she dropped off the face of the earth.
