Wow. The so-called "left" of America is scolding China about human rights abuses. And where was Judd during the Bush era when the Iraq war obscenity was going on? He predictably had no real opinion on it he cared to take a stand on at the time. The sad thing is I actually like Judd. He worked on The Ben Stiller Show when nobody knew who Ben Stiller was. He also worked on one of my favorite TV series, The Larry Sanders Show. I love 40 Year Old Virgin but everything he has been making for quite some time has been empty and devoid of life or any kind of genuine social criticism though he loves mouthing the empty platitudes of Democratic Party identity politics. A few months ago I wasn't too surprised when he came out with a ringing endorsement of the #MeToo quasi-fascist "movement".

I think Apatow is a lunatic and he had two good movies and the rest was a bunch of crap. My question for you, though, is why does every movie “genuine social criticism”? Can’t we just enjoy a comedy without social justice warriors ruining everything?
