shareSuperbad was written long before it was made, by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (hence the lead's names). It was adapted for today but retains a lot of a 90s vibe... it was written by them in highschool when they were 13-15 (obviously not the final draft). Freaks and Geeks takes place in 1980 when Apatow was in highschool.
P.s. to the guy above. How is an honest question that completely makes sense to wonder about and has a ground in the actual process that resulted in the movies "retarded"? Since Superbad does virtually take place in the 90s with updated details like the aforementioned cellphones etc. Next time use "EVAAAAAH" it would fit the reply better.
