Critics Choice 'Genius' award
Well, the Critics Choice Awards gave Judd Apatow their annual "Genius" prize. I know critics can be a little bitter at times but sarcasm on that level is just mean.

shareThere are a trillion other people they could have given it to: Spielberg, Ang Lee, Sir Ridley Scott, Philip Kaufman, Terrence Malick, Jim Jarmusch, Gus Van Sant, ALEXANDER PAYNE, David Cronenberg, Peter Weir, etc. There are soooo many people who deserved that award more than this one trick pony who only makes movies for stoners or frat boys.
My main problem with this guy is that his movies are the same. All guys do are drink beer, smoke weed and say raunchy crap ad foul language. His directed films have no substance, except for Funny People. For a guy who has been called a visionary, he also has zero visual style. His movies look exactly the same with no effort for a different look. Guys like Terrence Malick and Wes Anderson are incredibly talented visually. The camera work in Malick movies are mind-blowing, and Wes has this great way of moving the camera. He also has a unique visual look to his movies.
That annoying turd Rebel Wilson stated, "The world of cinema would not be where it is today without Judd Apatow." Are you *beep* kidding me? Wes Anderson and Alexander Payne are centuries better than this man, and yet they don't get honorary awards. Honestly, *beep* Hollywood and their politics.
