He is anti gun yet wrote 'Pineapple Express'

I saw where Apatow and Eddie Vedder(who basically said if he did not have music to vent his anger/frustration he could not be trusted with a gun) where in a interview where they attacked pro gun people/groups and anti gun control people yet Apatow wrote Pineapple Express that basically glorified and made light of criminal gun violence and murder. They have that whole comedic montage of Danny McBride and Seth Rogan pointing guns, posing with guns, using them to shoot people, etc which sounds kind of hypocritical if Apatow is then going to come out against gun ownership. Apatow also produced Superbad which had a scene that made comedic light of illegally shooting guns at a police car. It is just like the last 2 "Lethal Weapon" movies that had anti gun messages when the whole franchise is mainly about criminal misuse of guns, murder, and glorifying guns.

Maybe because movies and reality aren't the same thing? Just because a movie features guns doesn't mean they are glorifying them, and doesn't mean it's necessarily representative of the people making said movie. Besides, you said it yourself, both films portray the misuse of firearms (murder, illegal discharge, and just overall reckless misuse in general), so perhaps you could make the argument that Apatow's films portray guns in a NEGATIVE light? I wouldn't want any of the characters from either of these films to have access to high-powered weaponry in real life, would you?

He helped Rogen and Goldberg write it.

Tarantino is also anti-gun, but he, Judd and many sane minded people can tell the difference between real and make believe.

So in other words you're saying they're hypocrites? So be anti-gun but push violent glamorized gun filled movies for the money? This is why liberals have become such a bad word. Too many liberals come off as hypocrites. While conservatives are *beep* and don't pretend they are't *beep*

You may need to see a therapist, because you clearly are having trouble separating fiction from reality.

Portrayal is not endorsement. Vince Gilligan does not endorse meth usage, just because he portrays it in Breaking Bad, for example. Anyone with critical thinking skills can tell the difference.

I believe the real problem is that there are not enough people with critical thinking skills to form an independent though of their own.

That's a stretch. Vince Gilligan isn't going about about being anti-drug legalization. And even if he did,the drugs were part of the premise of the show and it wasn't a positive representation and everyone came out screwed up or dead. Now Apatow is just another Hollywood liberal that talks about subjects he doesn't understand. Of course he's greedy so he will use guns for profit whenever possible.
