has it been confirmed that Adkins is playing Smoke in the new Mortal Kombat film? because personally, i think he'd make a better Johnny Cage

It's not even confirmed that there actually will BE a new Mortal Kombat movie. It's all discussion and nothing more right now. As that movie has been in development hell for over a decade, I doubt it will ever get made.

It is unfortunate, I was hoping that the release of the MK9 videogame would help to boost the movie, but no such luck...

I'm having trouble with a patient of mine; he's a teenage drug addict who's being molested. By me.

I think Michael Jai White is the only certain cast member (Though, I hear Mark Dacascos has joined the series too). If White is involved he'll definitely do anything he can to get Adkins in.
