One thing I like the most about all this sudden buzz around MacGyver is that it's happening only thanks to Amy. They were getting almost zero attention until she arrived on the set. lol They're still filming the episode with her and she's already the star of the show.

MacGyver: We're rebooting!
Everyone: Meh
Macgyver: We're casting people! Yay!
Everyone: Meh
Macgyver: We started filming!
Everyone: So?
Macgyver: Even more peeps were added to the main cast.
Everyone: lulz You'll flop.
MacGyver: Amy Acker is to guest star.
Everyone: OMG! YAY! I'LL WATCH THAT EPISODE! SHE DESERVES BETTER! I LOVe AMY!

If I was a famous and smart producer I'd give her her own cool show. Because she attracts people like a magnet and would make a great lead.

I seriously thought I was the only one that went through your description almost verbatim. I don't get her career. Small movies, many single episode guest spots, a couple of main character series, and Lifetime movies. Is she just working when she wants some extra money or is she just really quirky with her decisions for jobs?

If I was a decision maker in Hollywood, there would be no way she was not my top choice for lead roles. I mean, she's friends with Joss Whedon, but didn't get the Maria Hill role in Avengers? WTH?

Well, it's Hollywood after all. It's no matter how talented you are the leading and/or important/better written role always goes to someone prettier or to the one with a bigger pair of uh... eyes. The bigger the better. ;/

I feel the same way, except I'm still not watching MacGuyver. Lol

Hopefully she'll get more movie roles, or better roles on tv

I'm not watching Macgyver, too but I'll watch the second episode because it seems like Amy's character is a badass
