This "release the J.J. cut" thing is bullshit.

He's trying to deflect responsibility for "The Rise of Skywalker", and save his reputation.

And yeah, I read the claims that started all this. Sure, I bet the studio made cuts for time or coherence, but that doesn't mean that the cut he wanted was any less of a mess than the version that was released! And the suggestion that Disney deliberately made the film worse to keep him from going over to the DC franchise is ridiculous, as if a major corporation like Disney would mess with one of their tentpole-of-all-time moneymakers in order to spite one nerd! That's not how massive entertainment conglomerations do business, Abrams is trying to present himself as an underdog and to shift blame for the film's flaws, anyone who believes the story of the "Superior J.J. Cut" is just silly.
