Michael Bay

Michael Bay and JJ Aabrams use the same writers. The guys who wrote Transformeers also wrote new Star Trek. JJ himself wrote Armageddon for Michael Bay. I have disliked JJ since he did Mission Impossible 3. Tom Cruise’s original idea for the franchise was that each movie would be directed by a different auteur with a different vision. JJ was a big studio head for TV shows so maybe he would have an interesting take for one movie. But it was a big failure and bankrupted the franchise which forced them to retain JJ as the money guy in order to keep it going for future movies. He has been in a position of financial control since then and all the movies have been more or less the same. This is what he does consistently with franchise after franchise. I think he hates his own audience because he is always making these virtue signaling comments. You are eating “$h|t” and he is laughing at you because he will never run out of money.
