I know it seems sacreligious to put Force above Hope. It wasn't easy. I had to really think about it, and remove nostalgia from the equation (which is not easy either). Ultimately I decided that I enjoyed Force more than Hope. I realise that Force is simply Hope retold on one level, but I thought Force was more fun - and that's largely down to the writing and acting. Not even Hope could compete with the writing and acting in Force as far as I'm concerned.

I don't have a problem with ranking Force (or TFA) that high.
It has its flaws, but there are many things about it that are truly great. I think that on an emotional level, the Rey/Kylo lightsaber battle is second only to the Luke/Vader battles. Also I am obsessed with Rey and Kylo. They are both just so weird and fascinating.

In many ways I prefer Rey to Luke Skywalker. I love Luke, don't get me wrong, but Rey is a whole other animal and I like that a lot.

Pretty close. I rate Super 8 slightly above Star Trek, but not by much.
I notice a common originals/prequels divide in regard to our attitude towards Star Wars. I once assumed everyone felt that, later it turned out that it's mostly the youngsters who saw the prequels first.
