...the topic of hushing up the rape of at least one young performer, an informative documentary to look up is Girl 27 from 2007. I think it was partly funded by Netflix.

I saw this doc. Wasn't surprised the studio involved in hushing up the scandal was MGM. Its boss was Louis B. Mayer, one of the biggest harrassers in Hollywood back in the golden days. A pedophile, too.
