Saw that she auditioned for Olivia Pope on Scandal, and I'm wondering if she could have been any good. I know she is sort of a one dimensional actress but I think she could have seemed a bit tougher that Kerry Washington. Now, Washington is amazing but everytime they tell Olivia something bad, she looks like she's about to cry, every single time!!!! It's bugs me. I really think Union could have brought more of that toughness Olivia is supposed to be. But then again Olivia is supposed to flawed or whatever. So what do you guys think?

I think Kerry was the perfect for for the role. Yes Kerry is a much better actress. Sorry but its true!

Sanaa Lathan would have owned the role of Olivia Pope -- better than both Kerry or Gabrielle.

I agree Kerry got the role for a reason; she OWNS the role. Gabrielle or Sanaa are not on her level.

Kerry was meant to play Olivia Pope. Gabrielle was meant to play Mary Jane. They're both great actresses.
