I thought she was born in 1973?
Never understood trying to fake your age to try to be younger, especially when people think you look younger than you are.

She routinely plays younger characters so maybe that's where you're confused. On Being Mary Jane, her character is 38 (i.e. born in 1976) but in the early 2000's, the age difference between GU and her characters were much bigger. Fr Example, I just watched her in "Bring It On" and she was at least 10 years older than most of the other actors.
BTW...if 1972 is supposed to be "fake," then that would make her OLDer not younger.
