Hilary's Fall from Grace

I miss Hilary.

It's been over four years since her fall so I came to visit; to remember; to see if my memories were wrong; to see if there isn't some way for me to become a fan again.

Hilary apologized for partying with Chechen dictator Ramzan Kadyrov (look it up); she fired her advisers and even promised to donate to charity - the hefty sum she was paid to attend this person's birthday party. On the surface - she did all the right things.

I just can't accept Hilary's claims of ignorance.
Imagine you've just been offered a huge amount of money to work for someone in a far-away land; at the very least you google (Ramzan Kadyrov) the person's name.
Maybe she saw that other celebrities took money under similar circumstances - and their careers survived; a calculated gamble - to make a 6 figure paycheck?

Apparently she was not "to big to fail" - or her connections with "the right people" weren't strong enough. Other famous celebrities somehow managed to navigate such mercenary improprieties; double standards applied.

I guess, if you are a big enough celebrity (music, sports, film, etc) - anything goes. You can assault women or take money from and consort with the worst people on the planet and your fans will still love you.

I know forgiveness is important.
Can anyone point to any recent Hilary Swank information that might help me change my opinion?

Beyond the aforementioned, has Hilary demonstrated - in the last couple years - that she "gets it"?
