She is a mess in Murder in the First. Besides being the most self-absorbed wannabe hipster, she's also a terrible mother. Poor Louise.

She's a homicide detective, in an apparently elite squad. And yet she wears ripped jeans and ragged tshirts? I'm all for wearing sensible suit-your-job apparel, but those silly clothes she wears make her look like a Desperately Hanging On middle-aged-woman. She should wash that stringy mess of hear, scrape off at least half the spray on makeup, and stop strutting around in those sun glasses trying to be all bad-ass.

It's really distracting to watch MITF when she is doing all that.

Here's another point--this week's episode showed the party outside,every girl was green and lush, everyone was wearing nice summer clothes. (Except Hidly, who wore something from Mars...).

A little bit later, she shows up to view Jaleel's body with his mother, WEARING A SKI PARKA. Strange...

Hi, I agree they try way too hard with Hildy's cloths but you have to realize it's San Francisco and women there do try too hard especially on the few warm sunny days. There is a bit of a left over hippy vibe in the City from all the "acid" taken in the Summer of Love (jk)... Straight women in general try way too hard in San Francisco for the obvious reason and the Coat, even on warm days it's generally quite chilly and foggy in the evenings and mornings in the City...
I would like to see them stop dressing Hildy in 4" heels, even if they are "wedge" heels it is stupid to think that a homicide detective would wear something like that while on duty. As cool as you think you are you cannot run in shoes like that... (And I agree with you, the Skorts she was dressed in were way too short to be appropriate for a middle aged woman to wear to a quincienera and the top highlighted her hidious choice of bra, so she got to be slutty and dowdy at the same time...).

I'm speculating that the actress is pregnant. Big clothes, coats, belly bulge and her butt got bigger.
