I just bought the Freaks and Geeks DVD, and noticed that Busy Philipps not only isn't featured during the episode intros, but is also listed as "Also Starring" (conspicuously) and doesn't do a single commentary on the DVD. Almost every other actor, even minor ones, are in the commentaries. Keep in mind that I just bought this and haven't even come close to listening to all the commentaries yet, so if this is addressed in any of them I apologize.

shareBecause she originally wasn't supposed to be a main character but they liked her so much they kept writing her into shows. She definately would have been on the Season 2 intro if there had been one.
