Should have got an oscar for Ai
What an incredible, moving and heartbreaking portrayal of a character that isn't real. He captured being a robot with one purpose perfectly, and all the devastating emotions that would come with it.

Yes, I was mildly surprised that he was not nominated. The imprinting scene was a natural Oscar clip. Still, I don't think anyone under 16 has ever been nominated for a lead role, only supporting.
shareQuvenzhane Wallis and Keisha Castle-Hughes were somewhat recently. There may be a couple males, too.
shareShould have won an Oscar for The Sixth Sense. He was brilliant.
shareI agree wholeheartedly. Also for The Sixth Sense as well.

Are you aware, that is pretty funny.
Seriously though, that movie was depressing as hell, and very off-putting. It was not a great movie, though I think it could have been.
a lot of child actors are better than adult ones; they're more in touch with their own emtions and aren't fake or living in their own minds.
