Debra's a smoker.

Ill be honest, I was quite surprise to find out that Debra Messing smokes...don't know why and I do not know if she still does smoke because according to a lot sources, she has quit smoking several times only to fall back on the nasty habit. Here's a photo of her smoking a cigarette a recently as 2008 on the set of the Starter Wife.

I'm not saying that this is a major deal but it just surprised me is all.

Some woman do it to help stay skinny but that's a gamble because while you're staying skinny you're aging at a much faster rate. So if I were her I would stop. She doesn't look weathered or otherwise prematurely aged so maybe she was smoking for the role.

It would surprise me too. She has a young kid right?

But ties to NY. Maybe she picked it up there.

I agree but damn alot of websites say that shes been trying to quit smoking for years.

Hm, I had no idea she still did. Everything I've read claims she quit years ago.

I wasn't surprised to find out. She was a young actress in New York City, it seems pretty par for the course.

Yeah but I wish she quit because smoking only makes you age faster and takes years off ones life, it hasn't happened with Debra yet but it will if she keeps it up. That photo I posted was from the set of the starter wife back in '08 so I assumed she had quit since then but then I found out that she hunged out in the smoking area at the governors ball at the emmys last year.
