Must be the Hollyweird motherhood way now, becoming a mother in mid 40's - 50's when most normal mothers are becoming grand/great grand parents.

Who cares? It's her child and that's that---end of story. Hell, there are men far older than her who become fathers as late as age 50 and beyond.

But those men usually have a much younger wife/mother of their children to care for the children.
I am not hating on Lucy Liu though, her choice is her choice. Unfortunately for her, the truth is she will be the one who will be caring for this child and most likely won't have a younger partner to fall back on for the care of the child as they age.
Raising a child alone is not for the faint of heart and would be even more difficult at her age. But, she is in good health and has money to hire help when needed so, like I said, it is her choice.
So you're generous enough to concede her choice to become a mother is her choice, but can predict all kinds of obstacles she'll face as a single mother? what kinda back handed ish is that?
I find it hilarious when people chime in about another woman's experience of motherhood. Women find themselves taking care of kids in all kinds of ways - whether by choice or not, biologically or not. Either way they make it work. It's what women do - and have been doing since the dawn of time. It's how we got to where we are.
There's no real way for this to not sound "snarky", but:
1. I like how you feel the need to wish bad things for someone you don't know
And
2. What hillbilly trash area do you live in where women become great grandmothers in their 40's?
Believe it or not, I once dated a woman in her 50's who had a daughter at 17; the daughter had a daughter at 17; and the GRANDDAUGHTER had a daughter at 17, making the original woman a great grandmother at 52. Had each been just one year younger when having her daughter, she would have been 49 instead.
