Naomi Judd to be inducted into Country Music Hall of Fame one day after her death

If it was important to induct her it sure seems they should have done so already, and this belated effort seems craven, at least to me.
That said, human nature also consistently lauds people on their passing often at the expense of appreciating them during their lives. However, I suppose (to use my favorite line from Mad Men) that's what the money's for, assuming she had enough success to live securely throughout her late career.
All blessings to Naomi Judd and her loved ones.
Wasn't it already scheduled before she died? I don't think it was an afterthought.

Yes, she died the day before she and her daughter were to be inducted. I don't listen to that crap so I don't know if they went ahead with the induction as scheduled or if they plan to do it at next year's broadcast.
That's good to know. My apologies for assuming, but the way the info was delivered, that's certainly how it sounded.

That was tough to watch. They kept it together alright though considering it is the day after and such a big day at that.
