She was never really much to begin with. She got lucky because of a music video(the fly's - got you where I want you) that she was in and they started giving her movie roles. Tom Cruise then became foolishly infatuated simply because of that music video and then later, her role in the movie Disturbing Behavior where there was one really hot scene with her sitting in the back of a pickup truck. Her hot looks in her youth launched her career and got her noticed, not her acting ability.
