Underrated

I think he is a gifted actor and I would love to see him in more things.

As you can see, you're somewhat alone in that feeling.

Colin Hanks' biggest challenge is his name. He's a decent enough actor, but simply doesn't have the charm and humor that his father Tom exudes. He's certainly had opportunities to prove himself, but as we can see, he hasn't really caught on enough to get a few interesting character roles.

Heflay111's remark is a classic case of "I'm saying it, so it's true." Mr. Hanks Jr. has several defenders on this site.

"It is depressingly easy to be both morally right and an a**hole."

I didnt know he was the son of Tom, probably because I didn't see his name before today, and I think ihe is a quite good actor. It is a littel bit hard to be compared with Tom, since he was/is in the 20 million dollars per movie club.

Actors in the past have changed their last name to shed any tie to someone uberfamous (like Nic Cage). He proved his ability all on his own. I think Colin Hanks NEEDS the name to get the opportunities. From what I have seen he is really mediocre with no charisma.

It's hard to judge his charm as an actor when every role he's had has always had a "charmless/uptight" aspect to it (at least that I've seen).

So I wouldn't say he himself is dull. He's just been good at playing dull people.

I thought in Roswell, he was freakin adorable, and I've seen him in a few other things, and he is a good actor... but he's not his dad

I like him, he says okie dokie~Dean

He is not a good actor - regardless of who his father is. This is a fact. Boo Hoo.
