This guy stinks

If I were the son/daughter of a multi-millionaire actor, I would be more embarrassed to get acting work because of who my parents are, than to just sit around all day and spend daddy's money. Are you telling me that this idiot is such a great actor that he needs to be in movies over someone who actually studied acting and works their @ss off? Where has he displayed his great acting skills....The House Bunny????

Dude, It works this way for the crew too. Almost any kind of business you can think of.

And you are speaking from the experience of being the son/daughter of a multi-millionaire actor? Do you even have experience of living under the gigantic shadow of someone like Tom Hanks? He might have great connections but it also comes with great pressure...

It's very easy to mouth off & criticize others...

I agree..in judging of "regular folks" as well, it seems people usually always enjoy talking about the bad stuff people do rather then the good. I may be talking very prematurely, bc I haven't seen him in much, but from what I've seen so far, he seems like he's trying too hard, always the "obnoxious, in your face ass hat, running off at the mouth, too cool for school" guy. You know the one.
So, since I feel pretty safe in saying that most his fans check up on him here, and if someone wants to chew me a new one...before you do that, would you maybe tell me some movie he's been in that might change my opinion of him? And please don't say "Rx", bc he played the aforementioned douche bag in that film as well, IMO.
He's no Jeremy Ritter.

It's obnoxious. I like Tom Hanks, but you don't see Harrison Ford's kids stinking up the screen.

I know the movie wasn't huge, but I first discovered Colin Hanks in John Malkovich's "The Great Buck Howard." Not a altogether brilliant movie, but one I really enjoyed considering I love the topic. The acting was perfect for what the film was aiming at. While not too showy, that was the film that made me a fan of Colin Hanks. I haven't watched anything else he's done, and I just checked out this board because of his new Dexter role, but the movie was apparently good enough for me to remember his name. I didn't even know his family ties until Tom Hanks made a surprise cameo and it all clicked. So there's a recommendation for you. "The Great Buck Howard." (shrugs)
